I love how good white looks on this car. So many good performance cars out of the U.S. right now that look excellent in white. Especially with those awesome contrasting black wheels.

A few observations:

1. They wouldn't let me drive it any farther than in and out of the shop.

2. For anyone taller than about 5'9", it's basically a two-seater. My college roommate had a fox-body coupe that fit a grown woman behind me as I drove. Granted she was 5'1" but she was an adult.

3. The driver who brought it to the shop said he didn't like the drone of the exhaust. He's also 72 and drives an '01 Lincoln Continental.

4. The 5.0 Coyote sounds like it's out for blood. It makes a far better noise than the pushrod V8s from Chevy and Dodge.

5. Factory Line Lock. So tempting to roast the Pirellis in the parking lot...

6. Ford sold off Aston Martin, right? If Aston decided to do a retrofuturistic V8 Vantage styled after the 70s models — which were influenced by the 67-69 Mustang — this would be it.

7. If I could convince my wife that a car payment higher than our rent, 19 mpg EPA rating with a requirement for premium fuel, and insurance rates close to tripling could be OK, then there'd be a Deep Impact Blue one with a 6-speed in our driveway right now.
